Borobudur Through The Eyes Of People
The method used by the writer in this research is a qualitative method, while the technique of data collection is done through interview and documentation. The primary source is taken from the interview with the Buddhists and the tourists who visited Borobudur temple, while the secondary data are taken from books.
In analyzing the data, the collected data are classified according to the problem. Then the problems related to the data are analyzed in order to answer the research questions.
This report concludes that Borobudur Temple does not only have a visible beauty. The Buddhists convey that Borobudur Temple is a buildingused for praying. It is a good place to make self introspection, to horor religious thing, and to save relic (Buddha inheritance). The Buddhist like doing meditation in Borobudur Temple, because they get comfortable atmosphore in it. They also think that Borobudur Temple is a great temple which describes about glory of a king and is a sacred place to understand as well as to remember about the circle of life in the world. Meanwhile the tourists see Borobudur Temple as a Buddha inheritance, it is the great and the biggest temple in South Asia. The tourist know that Borobudur Temple is used by the Buddhists for praying. They are also interested in visiting Borobudur Temple as a nice torism place which is believed to have a myth such as "kuntobimo". Morever, they can learn many aspects from Borobudur Temple like archaeological, philosophicsl, architectural, cultural, and social.
